APPEAL FOLLOWING ROBBERY |

We are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed in Tamworth earlier this month. The victim was in the graveyard at St Editha’s Parish Church, off Church Lane, at around 12 noon on Monday 8 September when he was approached by another teenager, who sat next to him on a bench. The suspect then punched the victim several times in the face and stole his black cross-body bag, which he later dumped in a nearby bin before running off in the direction of Tamworth College. The victim suffered facial injuries in the assault and went into nearby Tamworth Library for help. The suspect is believed to be aged between 16 and 18, around 5ft 10in tall and of average build, with dark hair, and was dressed in all black – including black tracksuit bottoms and a plain black hooded sweatshirt.
